Gold Brass Lord Kartikey Statue With Peacock Murugan Swami Home Temple Idol

This Lord Kartikey idol with a peacock is made using brass. In a story from north India, Shiva and Parvati made a being with five faces and sent it into the holy Ganges. The five sparks floated out and each formed into a child. But, Parvati did not know how to take care of and feed all five. So, he merged the children into one being with six heads, representing the five senses and a final head to mix the senses into one, symbolic of the mind and power of Shiva and Kartikeya was born.
