WHY IT’S SPECIAL
Combining the sacred and the profane, La Liturgie des Heures opens the doors of an old country cathedral, infusing the scent of burning incense with lush forest greens. This fragrance, with a delicate sillage, evokes the image of an old monastery where the scent of burning incense fills the air. The fragrant, smoky aridity of incense balanced by the rich verdant of cypress, creates a scent which is at once voluptuous. Its warm base embraces the incense, olibanum, myrrh and other aromatic greens, softening their intensity and adding an element of passion and seduction, ready for communion.
What Else You Need to Know?
Jovoy is the most glorious example of a phoenix perfume house restored way beyond its former 1920s glory As stories go, it is pretty romantic. Parisian perfumer Blanche Arvoy first created the house in 1923 right in the middle of the Roaring Twenties selling finger-on-the-pulse fashionable perfumes. Her shop on Rue de la Paix quickly became a destination for perfume lovers. This beautiful line faced the axe with the advent World War II but was luckily resurrected in 2006 by Francois H nin with a new range of Eau de Parfums and the largest independent store of artistic perfumery in Paris located near Place Vendome.
