This set of 1 Pompon Owl showpiece from the Museum Sculpture collection by Mould is a tribute to Pompon, who was a famous French sculptor who studied under Rodin. He came to be known for his stylized animal figures. Son of a cabinetmaker, Fran¿ois Pompon entered the school of fine arts of Dijon after having earned his living as a stone and woodworker. He studied architecture and sculpture and acquired basic knowledge in engraving.
