The ceramic color Mojave Desert is inspired by Navy pilots flight suits and the desert landscape around the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, home to some of the Navys most skilled pilots. Engineering ceramics undergo a complex and highly sophisticated manufacturing process. It begins with powdered raw materials, which are shaped into a pre form known as green body and then machined closer to the final geometry.
